Starting March 20, 2026, the Alliance Française of Valdivia and the Austral University of Chile will host the exhibition Digital Art, Digital Culture by Houda Bakkali. The exhibition brings together physical and digital works in which augmented reality, animation, and interactive elements play a central role, proposing an exhibition format that allows audiences to explore new forms of artistic interaction and interpretation.

The exhibition is complemented by a virtual gallery, multimedia content, and informative and educational resources designed to contextualize digital art, its applications, uses, and main challenges within the contemporary cultural landscape. The project takes place within the framework of the Month of Francophonie, an international event that celebrates the diversity of Francophone cultures.

Through the convergence of physical media and digital technologies, the exhibition examines the potential of the relationship between creativity and digital tools to expand the boundaries of the traditional exhibition space, promoting access, learning, and cultural exchange among diverse audiences, beyond spatial, temporal, or generational barriers.

The use of technologies such as augmented reality, virtual environments, and multimedia resources strengthens communication between the artwork, the exhibition space, and the audience. This approach encourages a participatory and bidirectional experience in which visitor interaction becomes a key element in the process of cultural and educational exchange.

The exhibition places the female figure and gaze at its center, as a tribute to the artist’s mother. Through the use of intense colors, dynamic forms, and an intersection between illustration and voluptuous flowers, it seeks to convey a joyful, hopeful, and optimistic vision of life.
