La Galleria Heimat è lieta di presentare la mostra personale di Gianna Parisse Brevemente risplendiamo sulla terra, a cura di Nicoletta Provenzano.
La mostra, ispirata dal romanzo di Ocean Vuong da cui prende il titolo, espone un nucleo di fotografie di grande formato e immagini proiettate appartenenti all’archivio Mundus, indagine sui luoghi di Amatrice dopo il terremoto del 24 agosto 2016. Nell’osservazione e classificazione di alberi, pietre e oggetti quotidiani familiari, l’artista, tramite l’uso di uno scanner, cattura l’impressione atmosferica e restituisce una presa di realtà avvolta in un abisso di luce, dal quale emergono le tracce di una materia memoriale un attimo prima che si perdano nei mutamenti del vivere.
Abbacinati da un universo conosciuto che risplende nella fragilità dell’esistenza, i soggetti delle opere di Gianna Parisse sono testimonianza di una presenza aleggiante nell’aria, profonda quanto una nebbia lucente. Nelle corporeità vegetali, minerali e oggettuali stagliate nel bianco, l’artista ricompone i frammenti di ciò che resiste al tempo e allo spazio, sospendendoli per confortare e ristabilire la loro identità vulnerabile e caduca. I rami spogli di un meleto, pietre e antiche stoviglie compongono un ritmico procedere in tre tempi che sembra dilatare l’esperienza terrena in una sfumatura sfuggente e risplendente, consegnandola ad un intreccio rifondato tra natura e umanità.
Sperduti nel bagliore, le orme segniche degli oggetti e degli elementi di natura diventano gli ultimi fulgori infranti consegnati alla leggerezza, che ora condensano una materia cosmica, si fanno limine tra abisso e immensità, tra aprico e opaco.
Nella mostra Brevemente risplendiamo sulla terra Gianna Parisse cattura istanti di un mondo soffuso di ricordi, di mutamenti e rovesciamenti, un universo di natura e di oggetti familiari che perdono i contorni per sopravvivere come desiderio di purezza e atto di resistenza.
Biografia
GIANNA PARISSE
Artista, architetta, PhD, per molti anni si dedica alla ricerca architettonica, concepita come relazione tra arte e architettura. Più recentemente, si diploma in pittura e si specializza in grafica d’arte, tecnologia dei materiali cartacei, all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. Ha esposto in Italia e all’estero: in Germania a Dresda, in Corea a Seoul, negli USA a New York.
La mostra può essere visitata: martedì–sabato dalle 11.00 alle 19.00.

Heimat Gallery is pleased to present Gianna Parisse’s solo exhibition On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous,
curated by Nicoletta Provenzano.
The exhibition, inspired by Ocean Vuong’s novel from which it takes its title, displays a core of large-format photographs and projected images belonging to the Mundus archive, a survey of places in Amatrice after the August 24, 2016 earthquake. In observing and classifying trees, stones and familiar everyday objects, the artist, through the use of a scanner, captures the atmospheric impression and returns a grasp of reality shrouded in an abyss of light, from which the traces of a memorial matter emerge a moment before they are lost in the changes of living.
Dazzled by a known universe resplendent in the fragility of existence, the subjects of Gianna Parisse’s works bear witness to a presence hovering in the air, as deep as a shining mist. In the vegetable, mineral and object corporealities silhouetted in white, the artist recomposes fragments of what resists time and space, suspending them to comfort and restore their vulnerable and transient identity.

The bare branches of an apple orchard, stones and ancient crockery compose a rhythmic three- step progression that seems to dilate earthly experience into an elusive, resplendent nuance, delivering it to a refounded interweaving of nature and humanity.
Lost in the glow, the sign-like footprints of nature’s objects and elements become the last shattered splendors consigned to lightness, now condensing a cosmic matter, becoming limine between abyss and immensity, between open and opaque.
In the exhibition On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous Gianna Parisse captures instants of a world suffused with memories, changes and reversals, a universe of nature and familiar objects that lose their contours to survive as a desire for purity and an act of resistance.
Biography
GIANNA PARISSE
Artist, architect, PhD, for many years she devoted herself to architectural research, conceived as the relationship between art and architecture. More recently, she graduated in painting and specialized in graphic art and technology of paper materials at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. She has exhibited in Italy and abroad: Dresden, Germany; Seoul, Korea; New York, USA.
The exhibit can be seen: Tuesday–Saturday 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
