Until October 15, the l’Alliance Frabçaise and the Colegio Laico of Valdivia are showcasing “Digital Art, Digital Culture” by Houda Bakkali.

The exhibition combines physical artworks with augmented reality, allowing the audience to enjoy art in a different way: more immersive, playful, and interactive. It is also complemented by a virtual gallery, multimedia content, and educational and informative resources about digital art, its uses, benefits, and challenges.

This exhibition highlights beauty, color, dynamism, diversity, and a hopeful vision of life through the figure of women, paying tribute to the artist’s mother and to female power. At the same time, it aims to exemplify the potential of digital art to break spatial, temporal, and generational boundaries, creating synergies among diverse audiences and making art not only timeless, but also a universal asset, accessible, understandable, and celebratory.

Digital art and technologies such as augmented reality, virtual spaces, and multimedia resources help enhance the message, creating dynamic and two-way communication around the artwork and the exhibition spaces, offering proposals in which the audience’s experience plays a central role.

“I am very grateful to Colegio Laico and the French Alliance, and especially to its director Gloria Reynaud, for making this meeting possible one in which we break through all physical, temporal, and generational barriers to connect through diversity, creativity, and education. Looking forward and building a future full of challenges, but also full of opportunities”says Houda Bakkali.
