Francesca Antonini Contemporary Art is pleased to present the second solo exhibition in the gallery of  Enrico Tealdi   (Cuneo, 1976).

On this occasion, the artist conceived a project specifically for the exhibition space, in which the light and intimate papers that distinguish his research are flanked by large-format works and environmental installations. A series of unpublished works, a memory and a dreamy atmosphere.

The title of the concert for carillon exhibition  , a game of resonances and scale changes, in which the recollection of small landscapes counterpoints a large canvas suspended in space – almost a fifth of theatrical inspiration – a backdrop that amplifies the scope of the artist’s vision and pushes the viewer to enter into a new physical relationship with the work. The poetry of Tealdi becomes a magniloquent, not losing, in the passage of form and proportions, nothing of its expressive concentration and evocative power.

The love for design, which for Tealdi is a fundamental stimulus since childhood, evolves into the taste for a painting capable of treating on the same level landscape and figures, great sensitivity for the whole. The characters coagulate in small juxtaposed lines, while the process of constructing the form takes place purely chromatically.

The great tradition of Venetian vedutism, tense of the real life, but that reminds, for example, evocative key, creating evanescent and unreal images thanks to the flaking of the shadows and the skilful dosage of the shadows. The light is therefore a unifying element of the composition, in a sort of current divisionist luminism, while the reiteration of the themes confirms a meticulous and passionate approach to making art.

For the artist, in fact, “Beauty, understood as art, is the best of answers. I designed out of love, out of desperation, out of anger and loneliness. I have drawn to see to. It was like dressing in white and walking in the mud to go further.
